Too much miscomunication, needs to improve, expensive table, low attendance.
This con is still pretty small, I attended last year and for the price of the tables( $200) and the amount of hype I expected way more attendance. First they told us that food was complimentary, later they come back and apologize saying that it was actually discounted, a "discounted"soda was $4.
To add insult to the injury they started giving out free VIP passes at the door because of the lack of attendance. The tickets were also discounted at the door, even though they said they were only discounted online. There was no security checking for badges so people just walked in without one.
In the end nobody made any money. I made about $56, my table mate $13, attendance was non existent, didn't make sale for the first 3 hours. . Our neighbors didn't made a single sale and the only writer in the alley only sold 3 books . We ended up going to artists tables and buying small stuff from them to mingle and talk about their experience, they were all negative.
The summer edition for this con was canceled this year.
